What is babysdays?

Babysdays is an online system that allows parents/carers to securely connect and view their children's progress, photographs, contracts, observations, policies, permissions, invoices, medication, incidents, existing injuries and much more! Parents can upload to the system direct from their own computer, smart phone or other electronic device that connects to the internet.

What if my child is sick?

Please let us know as soon as possible if your child is sick and will not be attending. We do need to be aware in order to inform other parents if needed. If your child has been sick or has had diarrhoea they will need to be kept off  for at least 48 hours. This is advice given to us from the Health Protection Agency.Unfortunately we are unable to refund any fees for any days missed due to sickness.

How do I pay my  fees?

You will receive an invoice on or before the 1st of each month or at the beginning of each week if paying weekly. Monthly Fees must be paid by the 1st of each month or a late payment fee may be charged. If paying weekly you should ensure payment is made on the first day your child attends that week. Fees can be paid by cash or direct into our bank account.

Can staff give my child medication?

Staff can only administer medication which has been prescribed by a doctor. You will be asked to complete a  medication form which must be signed every day your child needs the medicine. This needs to be done on babys days before you arrive to save time. Please speak to Natalie if you have any concerns regarding medication your child needs. If your child has a complex medical need we will ask you to complete a care plan which must be signed by your doctor or health visitor. If your child needs paracetamol to control a temperature then we ask they stay at home.

What if I need an extra day?

We do have some days  which are quieter than others and we are more than happy for parents to book extra days as and when needed. We will do our best to fit your child in!! Extra days can be booked through Natalie.

What do I do if I have a concern/complaint to make?

At first we would ask for you to speak to Natalie, if you are still not happy please contact Ofsted  on 03000 123 1231

How can I get more involved with the setting?

We are your childcare provider and we encourage parents to be as involved as possible. We hold parents morning/evenings and events throughout the year and as parents, you are always welcome to spend time with us. We often ask  parents to help with certain topics we are doing such as people who help us etc and love to have visitors in our setting.

It’s my child’s birthday, can I make a cake for him to bring in to share with his friends?

Of course you are welcome to bring in a cake for your child’s birthday, all we ask is that you provide us with a list of ingredients for all home made cakes to ensure we can check for allergies.

What if my child has an accident whist with you?

All children have accidents and whilst we do work hard to ensure your children are safe, they will have bumps and bruises whilst playing. When this happens we will ask you to sign an accident form when collecting your child to say that you have been told about the accident. For more serious accidents we will, of course contact you at the time.

What if my child has a bump before coming to you?

Please inform staff if your child has had an accident before coming to us. We will ask you to complete an injuries out of setting accident form. This should be done before arrival at home via babys days. If this is not possible we will ask you to fill it out with us as soon as possible.

When are you closed for holidays?

We are closed on Bank Holidays and we have family breaks at some point though out the year. We will give as much notice as possible to parents of any time of closure (which will be at least 4 weeks in advance notice) Any holidays we already know of can be found by clicking the parents page tab at the top of this page and once on that page scrolling down to the "dates for your dairy part.

Parents are extremely happy with the care provided by the childminder. They are very much involved in their child's learning and development. They welcome advice and resources to help them to support their child more effectively at home.
